I was given a lawn flamingo for an annual show at the Seaba gallery in Burlington, Vermont. The show is called the Flamingo Fling and artists are asked to alter their flamingo in any way imaginable.

I started by dissecting the plastic bird and rearranging the pieces. Once the form came together it grew into a mantis. I transformed the pink surface with a faux bronze for a uniform finish.
